Richards continues to makes ridiculous assertions about the power of Home Depot orange as a consumer grade socio-political signal of coopted authority. Made manifest as a series of drawings in this exhibition Richards continues to offer potential –albeit blunt and simplistic—solutions to bridge divisive ideologies. Cautionary, ironic and reflective the work draws from his practice in precarious labor politics and his penchant for drawing.

Richards has exhibited at the Roswell Museum of Art, Bellevue Museum, performed at the Nasher Sculpture Center, and co-curated “Boomtown” at the Dallas Museum of Art. His work has been exhibited in China, Germany, London, Spain, and Switzerland as well as across the United States, including recent exhibitions in Brooklyn, San Diego, North Adams, Houston, Chattanooga, St. Louis, Nashville, and San Antonio.
