Art Depot is set up to strengthen public viewing opportunities of art at low cost to the artists.
A committee comprised of interested and educated members of the art community discuss the directional needs of the Art Depot as applies to the shows we receive and display. The committee decisions involve several criteria involving media, exposure, diversity, and timeliness of the work presented for exhibition.
The Art Depot is generally booked up to a year in advance. If the show is accepted, the Gallery rental fee is $300 for 3 weeks. ($350 as of Jan '08) This covers utilities, press release (not invitation cards), website exposure, and First Friday Art Trail exposure (averaging 700-800 attendees).
The artist is responsible for the full restoration of the gallery space after a show. The work must be removed one week before the next First Friday. This provides the next artist a full week for installation.

All proposals must be sent digitally, PC friendly.
We also run  Art Depot Annex.
This space is available for temporary shows, 2 to 3 day events, at the cost of $100. Art Depot Annex is located at 1703 Texas Ave., half a block North from Art Depot. It is an industrial space that is larger than Art Depot.
