CAMP MARFA presents a collection of the finest Texas artists. The exhibition will be on display at the ART DEPOT after an initial showing in Marfa during the Chinati Open House weekend in October. Houston artist Wayne Gilbert and patron to the arts Gus Kopriva curated this exhibition. Selected Works chosen by Ryder Richards, Piotr Chizinski, and Wayne Gilbert.

The reception is on Friday, Nov 2nd, 2007, from 6-9 PM during the citywide First Friday Art Trail. This is a one night event, free and open to the public. Music will be provided by local bands.

The event will be sponsored by Art Depot & Depot District businesses.

CAMP MARFA :: Selected Works
Opening Extravaganza: 6-9 PM Friday, November 2nd, 2007

ART DEPOT presents CAMP MARFA :: Selected Works. An amazing, celebratory exhibition of Texas Art curated by Houston artist Wayne Gilbert. Over thirty works will be on display from the amazing CAMP MARFA show held in MARFA, Texas during the Chinati Open House weekend. The exhibition is at the ART DEPOT and the ANNEX Galleries, located at 1717 and 1703 Texas Ave. (respectively) Lubbock, Texas. The exhibition runs from November 2nd- November 6th, 2007. The opening reception with music and drinks is from 6-9 PM Friday, November 2nd, 2007.

CAMP MARFA is a hand-picked exhibiton of veteran artists showing throughout the nation mixed with the young, up-and-coming artists in the Texas art scene. Works by international artists such as Mel Chin, Ken Little, Sharon Kopriva, Wayne Gilbert, Otto McKay, Ramsey, Bill Hailey, Ryan Geiger, Michael Collins, BC Gilbert, Linda Hofheinz, Ann Harithas, Gary Sweeny, Gabreila Trzebinski, Ramzy Telley and too many others to mention will be on display. The exhibition contains local Lubbock Artists Brian and Jeffery Wheeler, Ken Dixon, Ryder Richards, William Cannings and Anne Longo.

This is a stellar show of national merit not to be missed! Several artists from across Texas will be present for the opening. The event will have Live Music and a cash bar provided by Melt restraunt and club. Please come join us in this celebration of Texas Art at it's finest.
