Tenacity, Observances and Perception
Brianna M. Burnett, Ann Elizabeth Gedicks, & Jimena Marin
Jan 5th - Jan 26th, 2007
Art Depot presents “Tenacity, Observances and Perception”: an exhibition bringing together three female artists working in photography, installation, & printmaking. The artists develop personal narratives of time and metaphor to translate experience into reality. Brianna M. Burnett uses the process of the photogram to reconstruct memory and fiction, which facilitates storytelling and imagination. Jimena Marin is interested in time cycles that are incorporated to create the present. Ann Elizabeth Gedicks uses dark whimsical childhood memories and the landscape as metaphor to engage personal experience. The reception is on Friday, January 5th, 2007, from 6-9 PM during the citywide First Friday Art Trail. The exhibition will be viewable through Jan 26th, 2007.
